Northampton Saints are reportedly close to completing the signing of Stormers back Pat Howard.
Howard, who can play on the wing and in the centres, will join Northampton next season, according to reports in Beeld in South Africa. Howard, 23, is contracted to the Western Province until the end of October and if the move goes through, he will join after the culmination of the Currie Cup.
If he does leave the Western Province, he will follow in the footsteps of Demetri Catrakilis and Steven Kitshoff in opting to swap South Africa for Europe. Catrakilis is on his way to Montpellier with Kitshoff off to Bordeaux-Begles.
