Cecil Afrika: GQ Man

You are here: Home / Tournaments / Sevens / Cecil Afrika: GQ Man
14 March 2012 by Rugby News

Always leading from the front, though this time off the pitch, Kyle Brown was the Blitzbokke’s first pin-up when he appeared in the 2011 Cosmopolitan magazine.

The skipper was followed by Chris Dry and Neil Powell who made their debut in a later issue of Cosmo.

As the reigning SARU and IRB Sevens Player of the Year, it was a natural consequence for Cecil Afrika to be asked to grace a major lifestyle magazine.  Appearing in the March-issue of GQ Magazine, the softly-spoken Afrika told reporter Grant Shub:

“My motto is, it’s not what you have in life, it’s what you make of it.”

Right now, Cecil is riding the wave of success and making the most of it.
